Digital Literacy for Work and College

Digital Literacy is a series of instructor led courses to improve an individual's ability to perform basic computer skills. Course includes, but is not limited to, Basic Computer Skills, Internet, Windows, Mac OSX, Email, Word, Social Media, Excel, PowerPoint, and Information Literacy. Testing for a certificate is free and available to those who need to assess their skills.
ELA for College and Career

Develop reading, writing, adn research skills for college and career success. Topics covered may include punctation, grammar, use of language, elemnts of fiction and non-fiction, research skills and strategies. Ongoing, year-round. Class times will vary.

IC3 is a certification for anyone who wants to demonstrate critical computer and internet skills. Students who achieve IC3 certification possess the validated skills and knowledge required for basic use of computer hardware, software, networks, and the Internet. Not only do you receive tools for success in the 21st Century classroom but also higher education, employment, and life. To become IC3 certified, you must pass the following three exams: Computing Fundamentals, Key Applications, and Living Online. Training and Practice tests are free this year. Certification exams are held in Bangor and are free to approved Techhire IC3 students. All others will have an exam fee. Ongoing, year-round. Class times vary.
