Japanese Shibori Silk Scarves
with Sandi Cirillo

"Shibori" is the Japanese resist method of creating designs on silk scarves using PVC pipes. This is a unique process of wrapping our scarves around the pipe and watch as our creativity with silk dyes takes over, spilling the color onto the pipe in layer after layer. You will also be given the opportunity to paint directly on your scarves. The science of art and the creativity of the individual unite in this workshop to produce two finished scarves that can be worn with pride or given as gifts. All participants should wear old clothes and bring an old towel to class. Materials fee: $10, payable to the instructor at the beginning of class. 1 Session.
